About MyHadith
MyHadith exists to make the recorded words of the Prophet ﷺ easy to read, easy to search, and free of distraction. No adverts, no paywalls, no tracking pixels following you around the internet.
What is in the library
The nine collections here cover the six canonical books — Sahih al-Bukhari, Sahih Muslim, Sunan Abu Dawud, Jami' at-Tirmidhi, Sunan an-Nasa'i and Sunan Ibn Majah — alongside Muwatta Malik, the Forty Hadith of Imam an-Nawawi, and the Forty Hadith Qudsi. Each hadith is shown in Arabic with a widely used English translation.
On authenticity
Sahih al-Bukhari and Sahih Muslim are, by consensus, the most rigorously verified collections. The Sunan works and the Muwatta contain hadiths of varying strength; where our source data records a grading, it is displayed on the hadith. Where no grading is shown, please do not assume one. Verification of a specific narration should always be traced back to the printed critical editions and to scholars trained in this science.
On the study notes
The "Explain this hadith" notes and the answers on the Ask page are generated to help you think, and are grounded in the text in front of you. They are not fatwas and they are not a substitute for a teacher. If a note ever looks wrong, please report it — the feedback button is on every page and every report is read.
The OneDeen family
MyHadith is one of a small family of quiet, purpose-built tools. Its sister site MyQuran.io does the same for the Qur'an, and OneDeen.io is the hub that ties them together.
